1. Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo
I am a personal fan of the Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo because of it’s coconut-y smell. I am one of those unfortunate ladies with extremely thin hair. After 1 day, my hair becomes 50 Shades of Grease. Dry shampoo is ideal in my “day-after” hair care routine. I’ve used multiple dry shampoos throughout the years, and somehow always end up using Not Your Mother’s. For me, thin hair comes with no volume (I’m talking flat like a pancake). Another great benefit of this dry shampoo is that it gives my hair a little “umph”! Everyone loves a little volume and this does wonders for me.
2. Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Hair Spray
Let’s be honest, hair spray is hair spray. My hair is naturally straight so getting it to hold a curl without a full bottle of hairspray is virtually impossible. So, I need a hair spray with “max” hold that doesn’t look like I just took a bottle of oil and dumped it on my head. I like the Herbal Essences hairspray because it smells like I just left the tropical rainforests of the Amazon instead of a smelly hair salon. It also has maximum hold without leaving my hair super crunchy.
3. Garnier Fructis Moisture Lock
10-in-1 Rescue Leave-In Spray
Whole Blends Refreshing
5-in-1 Lightweight Spray
Both of these products are great. They are like the Swiss Army Knife of hair care! I have used both of these products and so has my roommate. She has thick, luscious hair and she prefers the 10-in-1 Rescue Leave-In Spray. I have thin, fine hair and I prefer the 5-in-1 Lightweight Spray for reasons you can probably figure out. With less hair, I need less product! There is so much going on in the 10-in-1 spray that it weighs down my hair, whereas my roommate has hair for days and it is perfect for her hair. These sprays do everything from detangling to acting as a heat protectant. So, before I fry my hair with the curling iron, I have a little less to worry about.
4. Wet Brush
I discovered this brush a few years back and it changed my world. The thin bristles glide through my hair so smoothly! They say this brush is ideal for detangling wet hair after a shower or a dip in the pool. I use this brush every day on my hair whether it’s wet, dry, damp or anything in between. My hair use to come out in mass clumps and this brush significantly reduced this. With fine hair, I don’t have much hair to lose before I have nothing left, so a good brush that doesn’t cause a lot of damage is a must for me!
5. Fishers Finery Mulberry Silk Queen Pillowcase
As cliche as it sounds, a silk pillowcase is on my must-haves list. Once upon a blue moon, I had hand-tied extensions in, and my hairdresser gave me a silk pillowcase. It was more of a friendly gesture but now I recommend it to everyone. I sleep with my silk pillowcase every night without fail. My hair is “happier” in the morning, and I’ve also noticed it seems less greasy when I wake up. So, 10/10 I would recommend spoiling yourself with one of these!
